Nanotechnology is a key technology of the 21st century. Whether scratch car paint, dirt-repellent textiles or fighting disease – the wide range of applications, many draws in its spell. As with all new technologies whose consequences are not always assessable, risk debate is also raging in this topic. What is missing often is a realistic exploration of the possibilities of nanotechnology. This will show the “Nano! The exhibition leads visitors on a journey into the mysterious nano world. It begins in a laboratory and with natural phenomena, which are based on Nano effects – Gecko feet to lotus leaves. With a lift it then down into the depths of matter: Nanogrobe structures are enlarged to human scale and therefore the visitors grasp and understand.
At interactive stations, and experiments with the fundamentals and tools of nanotechnology – explains the visions are in the infinite space of the youngest hardly limits. Even critics have their say and their own views of the exhibition visitor is asked.
The exhibition is complemented by an extensive framework program; a science fiction reading night and a panel discussion are also on the program, such as lectures and guided tours.
